I saw a reference from another poster to an online operator - Luxury 4 Less - Buying Airline Miles | Buy Frequent Flyer Miles | Fly Luxury 4 Less

Tweaked my interest so I had a look at their site.

I have Sq J Saver booked MEL-PEK Apr 25 / PEK-MEL May 2 - so thought I would run a dummy booking for those dates - received this response overnight:

Hello Cruiser,

Hope this email finds you well; in reference to the reservation request below that you submitted through our website, we can offer you as follows:

1.SQ.238..25APR. MELSIN...1020.1610..25APR
2.SQ.810..25APR. SINPEK...1800.0010..26APR

3.TG.615..02MAY..PEKBKK...1705.2115..02MAY
4.TG.465..03MAY..BKKMEL...0015.1205..03MAY

All flights are in business class; the outbound is with Singapore Airline via Singapore and the return is with Thai Airways via Bangkok. Singapore and Thai are a very classy Asian airlines with a beautiful business class cabin and stunning airport lounges.

The roundtrip price including all taxes per person is $3,190 USD (For informational purposes, according to today’s market rate this coverts to 3,045 AUD).

Checked on Best Flights today - SQ MEL-PEK / PEK-MEL those dates $4,951 and TG MEL-PEK / PEK-MEL those dates $4,016

I have never heard of this mob before - but I will continue to check a few flts / dates and see what comes out down the track.

To OP who posted the info - I think you indicated you have tried them did you not? Anybody else tried them?

I had a look at there web site and they look legit but I have never used them.

Flyertalk is mentioned on there web site so would be good idea to look there and se if there is any comments both positive and negative.

Interesting concept - isnt it against QF T+C's so your airline choices presumably would be limited to airlines that dont exclude trading in FF points/miles.

Will someone on AFF take the plunge and let us know how it goes?
Somebody already has:
If you want cheap business class, I use FLYL4L (.com) now.. It's usually 50% of the price of a standard ticket.. Scary at first because you're not sure about what you're buying... But I've never been disappointed.

Melbourne->Paris->Melbourne last december with Thai on business for $4200.

It seems like it would be cheaper (and perhaps more reassuring) to do it yourself. Granted, that would mean that you have to do all the searching around, but that is the fun of it.

A street view of their address shows "Cellular 4 Less". Seems maybe they are branching out. Not sure I'd be comfortable paying out several thousand of my hard earned to them.

Matt

I got a quote off them and the way to get to my destination was a long way around for no SC's.

This goes against the ethos of AFF
