I'm not sure if this is related or not, but for ages, but recently I've been receiving a plethora or emails from them (daily in fact). I'm not really interested so I went to the bottom of the emails to unsubscribe, only to find no option there to do so.

I've since noticed the that I can view on-line and the unsubscribe function is there, but not in any of the emails themselves. Have others noticed this? I'm viewing them on a web-mail platform so maybe something is going wrong, or maybe AFTA have received complaints from others about spamming. Just curious.

I received an email today to a yahoo address & it had the unsubscribe option along with a manage preferences

Thanks. I half assumed that may be the case. Mine, through a Telstra Web mail platform stops at the last LE offer.

Has anyone been invited to the Luxury Escapes road shows they are doing? There is one in Adelaide on Monday night - we get free drinks and nibbles and expect we will pay with it with a hard sell.

Yes I got an invite in Canberra. Won't be going though, I suspect free drinks and nibbles to participate in a publicity fest for them.

I did. Can’t remember much more about it. Maybe it was on FB?

I did not get an invite.

Nor did I get a response to my email to them complaining about the Ritz Carlton in Bali not providing a late checkout despite it being part of the Luxury Escapes package.

You do get a uniform and LE bag + a $400 LE voucher.
Then they make you fly Y transpac.o_O:oops::eek::eek::eek:

gawd, that's torture, esp for older people who are seasoned travellers as you'd have to be to contemplate this, and therefor they'd be used to J / F more recently.

I don't see a wink or a smile in your post, so do we assume you are serious?

That's an insult, surely. Either the intern is desperate for interaction, or the intern has no idea. I would have thought they could get heaps of MEL residents if they paid a wage. I guess the holiday is OK given a one in ten chance. The voucher is rubbish unless one uses LE regularly.

Maybe I'm just a grump, but for that offer, I wouldn't bother getting out of bed.
