You should consider staying in Venetian : it's a real city by itself so you have a lot of things to do even if you stay at the hotel : gondola ride, many shows, all types of restaurants from cheap to expensive, a very good place of shopping with great prices (cheaper than HK on luxury brands)

Checked out of the holiday inn this morning. Good hotel. Very new. Sands cotai is a bit disappointing though. Venetian is a lot more of an integrated place.

And still upset the ice city exhibit only opens 12 to 8 with last entry at 7.30

Visited a few of the casinos on a day trip today. Venetian is looking a little tired, Wynn still looks fantastic. Can't speak for the rooms, but I presume the same holds true. Similar to Vegas really - the Venetian is showing its age there too.

Venetian is also a fair way from the ferry terminal, Grand Lisboa, MGM, Wynn etc...

Cheers
Febs.

We really enjoyed the Wynns......enjoyed Steve Wynns story even more

Great shops. I believe they have the highest grossing shop per square foot!

I think this is the old Mandarin Oriental isn't it? That one is now called the Grand Lapa, however is still part of the MO group...

The new one is a tall tower rather than the more resort style of the now dated Grand Lapa.

I chose to book the new MO as part of Amex FHR - partly chose this one because it doesn't have a casino in the hotel...
