i dont think that is true If you are referring to UK citizens requesting entry into Australia

UK citizens travelling on UK passport seeking entry into Australia require a visa prior to arrival
Usually the free E-Visitor Visa which gives 3 months. or the ETA which is similar but not free.
its still a visa as per Immigration and Homeaffairs department

Even our NZ cousins require a Visa on arrival

Visa selection here
Sorry, I meant UK visitors to Vietnam

Well, I think I'm in the process of making one (travel mistake) - have not booked my flights yet for my India trip ... tentative dates so far 07JUL to 14JUL ... and every airline is expensive ... I'm not sure what is preventing me from going ahead and making that booking ...

Also have 2x trips to India in Aug ... done diddly squat for those ones too ...

I have a feeling that these will come to bite me ...

And I'm interested because we are doing a land river cruise in Vietnam in a year or so and thus need a multi entry visa.
From memory (which is becoming a little less reliable these days…), the Vietnam E-visa is a single entry only.
If you want multi-entry, then I think you’ll need to contact the VN Embassy.

You do realise that you will need to book a ticket if you want to actually travel? ;) 🤣

Not sure, but they might have a telephone.
These days they might even have an internet or an electronic mail.
Not for these visas 😉. have checked and their online processing, even for the paid for visa companies, are not currently functional. They want the passport.

Committing to an event in Europe in September and then looking at the prices. I can’t believe how expensive flights are at the moment. The cheapest I can find to any of the reasonably close ports are $4k. If I’m going to pay $4k I want PE points please, not standard economy points.

Can you get to Jakarta and fly from there in J for $4k?

Lost my hotel room keycard 🤦‍♂️

Luckily, the front desk gave me a replacement card without too many problems. In fact, all I had to do was give my room number and I was handed a new card. (The slightly concerning part is that this is a large 5-star hotel with hundreds of rooms and I had never seen that receptionist before asking for a new card...)

First time ever I forgot to pack my small pocket knife in to my checked luggage. It was a gift from my grandmother many, many years ago, so high sentimental value. Luckily I was able to post it home (25 Euros! 😒), so now I have my fingers crossed, hoping it arrives safely.
I won't forget again!
