Made it to Gold, thanks AFF!

Thanks to some AFF-inspired SC runs and flights - SAN to SEA via SFO and LAX and a long weekend in NAN via SYD in J - my SCs clicked over to 700 when my NAN-SYD J SCs posted. Double SCs haven't posted yet, but they're just cream.
I haven't been SG before, just PS and QP for a few years. I would have hit SG without the NAN run, but decided I wanted to be SG before our family trip to Europe. Mr Katie and Little Miss have now both qualified as PS, which will mean some extra QP passes in case we need them to get the ILs into the QPs on the trip.

I'll be interested to see if SG makes any difference on our Europe trip and my next US trip. And goodness only know if I can maintain it next year!!

Congratulations.Unfortunately it now means mileage runs etc will become a much more important part of your life.

It only gets worse ... once you get gold, then you just have to keep maintaining it. It becomes obsessive. And then you do a big trip and suddenly you're over 1000 SC's and then you start to get a scent of Platinum...

That's what happened to me, and after a big trip with lots of YUPPs in the states, I'm now just 5 SC's off WP! The trouble is, once I hit that, I'm going to want to maintain that now!

Congrats! It is very addictive and I assume hard to go back a level. Lucky enough I have never been close to falling back but I dread it...

Oh, Sam! I don't even want to figure that out ...especiialy with a day free in the US before flying home in May ...
But by then we'll have a mortgage on a flood-free house, so WP may not come in handy next year.
