Malaysia Airlines Brisbane Service

Another twist in the ongoing MH/BNE saga, they've removed the schedules from the GDS.

(Maybe a potential change in State government in October means no taxpayer funded AAIF cash?)

Nice flight time from Brisbane
The return flight to Brisbane appears to be an overnight flight, which is also pretty good when connecting from domestic connections within Malaysia.

I'm trying to price up a fare on the MH website, but it keeps bugging out. Amex Travel has much less trouble showing me a complete fare to purchase.

I’ve had MH website pricing fares without issue today. Some good deals too. I’ve seen (return) BNE-SIN for around $800, BNE-NRT $1200, and BNE-CDG $1700 in the peak Christmas/New Year week.

Looks like this may not be subsidised by the Queensland AAIF despite the presence of the LNP Tourism Minister at today's MH announcement.

The previous Labor Government are usually quick on adding new Int'l routes of QLD to the AAIF subsidy list on their website.

BAC however I'd assume may have continued to subsidise most new route marketing, assuming they've done so for MH.

This may put forward the theory the LNP may phase out the AAIF at the end of 2025.

Glad to see this given it’s not a new route and the airline have always said they would return.

Executive Traveller (yeah, yeah, I know) has written that this route is supported by the AAIF.
