Malaysia Airlines lounges

Hi all,

I'm flying business class from Melbourne to KL on Monday and notice that the Malaysia Airlines access to Plaza Premium Lounge is "Temporarily closed until further notice", as are a few other cities.

Is there an agreement in place to access the Qantas Lounge as a Oneworld allience member in the interim, or any other lounge? Or is it simply a case of 'no lounge for you'?

Depending on departure time, the Qantas International Business Lounge should be accessible.

If it's the evening MH flight, Qantas lounge will be closed by then and instead you'll be directed to the very average Marhaba lounge

It's the 11:30pm flight. Looks like mediocre lounge it is!

Hi ash2022. I'm on the same flight in a couple of weeks and noticed according to their website Plaza Premium Lounge Melbourne is now open. Hours are as follows:

Operating Hours:

Monday: 0730 - 1330 hrs | 2030 - 2330 hrs
Tuesday: 0730 - 1330 hrs | 2030 - 2330 hrs
Wednesday: 0730 - 1330 hrs | 2030 - 2330 hrs
Thursday: 2030 - 2330 hrs
Friday: 0730 - 1030 hrs | 2030 - 2330 hrs
Saturday: 1030 - 1330 hrs
Sunday: 1030 - 1330 hrs

Looks like MH haven't updated their website to reflect this.

Yes MH has relocated to T4 at LHR.
It is likely that at check in MH will give your mum a free pass for Plaza Premium at T4

It is open, it was when we flew from LHR T4 in June. It is indeed wonderful and the service is absolutely impeccable. Only for QR and OW first and Business class passengers. Status flying in Y are directed to a different lounge which has just been refurbished as well when T4 was closed.

Fantastic! I’ll direct my mum to go to the Malaysian airlines desk as the transfers to terminal 4 and ask for the appropriate pass/access.

I'm QFF Plat (OWE) travelling next week on MH booking on the 11.30pm flight to KUL.

I was flying in Y and am QFF Gold so you’ll also get the invite to the PP lounge next week. It will be open until boarding.
