Malaysian booking codes

Hi all

Interested to know what booking system Malaysian uses? I get the 5 character codes as booking reference (instead of the usual 6) that don't work anywhere to look up / check my trip.....

Anyone know?

In fact my latest booking ref code won't even work on their own website...! Channeling an bit of Virgin Australia perhaps

Also worth noting - Mercator built by Emirates according to Dr Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_reservations_system#Major_systems

Very clunky system. Their own manage your booking doesn't recognise the booking code.....

Did you book through MH or an Agent? If the latter, it is tricky, although MH Mobile isn't too shabby.

Agreed! I'm comparing them to tier 1 airlines like QF so not really fair.

When you compare the Qantas online experience with pretty much any other airline, you are going to be traumatised.
