We have flown J Class MAS, BNE - KUL -LHR many times. Always with 777-200 Bne - Kul and return, always on time. Always with 747 Kul - Lhr and return and always on time. Both seats almost lie-flat, slightly sloping, 62" pitch between seats. Not as good as fully flat seats, but vast improvement on A330 seats. Have not heard of a plane type change anytime on these routes.
Both planes have very good touch-screen AVOD, good range of channels and movies. Service and food in cabin very good, cabin staff not as stand-offish as Qantas with their pernickety rules, although Qantas have better ( Australian ) wines.
Qantas business lounge in Bne - nothing exceptional, but MAS have several excellent lounges at Kul, very good range of food, drinks etc. MAS have just moved to terminal 4 at Lhr, and have new lounge at Gate 6, again very good choice of food, drinks.
We keep flying points in MAS F/F scheme, transferring AMEX points as needed. AMEX F/F redemption points far less than Qantas, and MAS staff will always advise what seats are available for flights requested - try that with Qantas ! As long as you have 70% of points needed, you can top up with cash payment - really quite a low amount needed.
