Have never boarded wrong aircraft, but I have woken "late", crazily got my bags packed, hounded the cabbie to speed the 45 minute drive to the airport, and run to the checkin counter - only to discover I was a day early. Have never felt so stupid as I did that morning.

On a similar note I have arrived at the airport a week early!! However that was mainly because I had booked the flight to be a week later than it should have been.

So what happens when you end up in the wrong place?

I would hope the airline would transport you back to your original destination for free so you don't end up on TV talking about their poor security. (this sort of incident undermines bag matching)

Of course tiger would just abandon you.
