Of course... Qantas call centre said Qantas doesn't own the ticket as AA has taken over the ticket. So I call AA and they say Qantas still owns the ticket and Qantas has to make any changes.
Back to Qantas and after 1hr they said 56mins is a fine transfer time as it's the same terminal and couldn't put me on another flight due to it being an award seat.
They said if I missed the flight I'd be put on another flight. Which I challenged them it's. E at least 12-24hrs later and I'd prefer to proactively not have that occur.
So I'll have to call again tonight to try and get another representative to book me another flight
