This review can be in Accor or in the Amex forum.

We used the Amex Platinum $450 travel voucher to book Mantra on Little Bourke in Melbourne for a New Years Eve overnight stay for the family.

Mantra is part of Accor but because we booked via Amex it didn’t show up in our Accor Plus Platinum account.

Booking via Amex was straightforward.

Because we have a family of 5, we got two adjoining rooms forming a 2 bedroom apartment.

I’ll share photos of a single apartment - times the photos by two.

The accommodation was spacious but dated. You had to preorder slippers - we were only given two because they ran out.

They have car parking in the basement. It’s very limited availability and no EV charging. $45 from memory for one day. We managed to get the last car park. The entry is very tight so if you have a big car be careful.

The location is excellent.

It is literally next door to Movida Acqui where we used our $200 Amex dining voucher for a one chef hat dinner.

It is also walking distance to Flagstaff Gardens which is only 8 minute walk away (two blocks).

We got great views of the Melbourne city fireworks.

Overall we can recommend the hotel if you’re looking to do what we did and want to use up your Amex travel and dining vouchers.

Hope this helps!
