The reason for the late departure of QF107 (and most other flights that day) was lightning closing the ramp. QF149 was even further delayed as it had a mechanical problem found just as boarding was ready to commence after the ramp opened after the lighting. But of course any delays for other LAX flights can be resolved during the many hours they sit on the ground, but QF107 does not get that luxury.serfty said:Hmmm, late inbound QF107, Departed SYD 2¼ hours late and LAX 53 minutes late, but scheduled into JFK 70 minutes behind schedule.
QF10late Currently estimated to depart ¾ hour late:
The ramp was closed from around 10:30am for at least an hour.
My QF19 was delayed by about 75 mins. At least I was able to while away the delay in the FLounge while watching the blue flashing lights around the ramp area.
