Actually no - there is only one flight per day (and not even every day) on QF from MNL and it is at 8pm - my flight is early morning, so the QF lounge will be closed...

Yes, I could use the QF lounge at SIN, but it's a hassle because it is in the wrong terminal (and may be closed as well!) when flying SQ/MI...

Fair enough - I do know the QF/BA lounge would have been open 17:30. As it's actually very easy to transfer airside between the terminals it seemed somewhat incongruous to me so I applied some fuzzy logic - too fuzzy it seems. :shock:

I am almost doing the complete reverse:

07:00 - 08:00 SYD-MEL QF 409
16:30 - 18:00 MEL-SYD QF 450

I do not think I will be able to guest anyone as I am not even sure if I will make it to the lounge myself:

5:45 leave home
6:30 Arrive airport (might try to do an ODU although it is now J6)
6:40 Board

15:00 leave office
15:45+ get to airport (might try for an ODU again)
16:10 Board

Moot point anyway, as QF lounge is MNL is listed as an associated lounge. Not sure, but I assume QF WP's wouldn't access lounge if not flying QF.

Where's your sense of adventure! Once I did a lounge crawl across the three terminals, starting in SIN T3 at the SQ lge, then to T1 and the FCL to see my partner off flying back to MEL on QF10, then to SQ T2 lge for about 10mins before I had to board my flight to BKK ...

I've done the walk before, and I have done the lounge crawl before when flying OW on a long stopover. None of the lounge opportunities on my recent SIN escapades have been OW related, so the only lounge I could get into (if it was open at that time of the morning) is the QP. Frankly I couldn't be bothered getting the the airport that much earlier to account for the additional walk time.

Met anat0l at BNE airport Friday afternoon even though he was not flying. All QF Platinums take note that, at least for the time being, you have anytime access to the business lounges in SYD, BNE and MEL. This rule has been in place for ~3-4 weeks.

I cant remember where the thread is for the QP meeting places at various QP's. Do people still congregate there is the hope another FT'er will be around?

People seem to just refer to threads such as these on AFF and FT and organise meetups that way. The FT corner is generally if there is a DO on.

Normally I just monitor these threads and see if anyone else will be in the lounge at the same time and take it from there.

They are known as FT corners and may require some redefinition.

yea i know that thread thanks serfty but it isn't overly updated.

If all FT'ers were MSN users it would be so much easier to meet up @ QP's. I, and a few others, have a habit of entering the QP, firing up the lappy, firing up MSN, then getting a drink. If I saw a few FT'ers online on MSN then it's so easy to instantly see where people are and co-ordinate meets.

Just my opinion - MSN FTW!!!

MSN is my life blood so I like to have as many contacts using this method as possible.

I'ts not so much people looking at it and noting it; AFF is a public forum and "BOTs" trawl though the internet text looking for things like email addresses to add to lists for on selling.
