Was wandering around the MBF site and saw:
https://www.mbf.com.au/Wellness/in2lifePartners/british_airways.html
As an MBF customer you will save 10% on selected fares when you book online and fly with British Airways from Sydney to Bangkok, Singapore, London or selected European cities. MBF customers in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne connect through Sydney to British Airways operated flights to selected destinations (for details see terms and conditions below). This great discount is available in World Traveller Plus (premier economy class) and World Traveller (economy class) cabins. Please see terms and conditions below*.

Offer is valid for departures until 31 December 2010.

I'm interested if anyone has used this, and what the discount ended up being. (Presume it is pre taxes/charges), so isn't a huge amount anyway.

Hi,

I've tried to walk through the process of getting the 10% discount. It seems to apply some sort of discount when selecting flights, but when you get through to payment the discount disappears and it ends up giving you the general public price! :(

To answer your question, when trying to book SYD->BKK return, individual flights had been reduced from $500 to $462, so ~8% off.

Perhaps there's a further promotional code that has to be applied for the special to take effect? I've tried BA and MBF and they've both been of little help.

You'll probably find the 10% is applied to the actual base fare, not the
ppplus.bmp
.

e.g. Fare $380,
ppplus.bmp
is $120 for a $500 total. Take the 10% being $38 to give your $462 total.

...anyone under the Bupa group, I think. Staff get a larger discount.

Managed to book some flights with discounted fares.
(After hassling BA that their website was broken)
