Hi everyone looking to book a slightly tight connection in OOL. Hoping to fly in on QF1588 departing SYD at 9:45am and arriving at 10:10am. I was hoping to connect to MEL on QF881 that departs OOL at 11:55am. I know that MCT for a QF(d):QF(d) is 40 minutes and I can through check them as they're QF flights.

Based on this information does anyone think it's a bit risky? Am I better off booking a JQ flight earlier?

That looks like you have 1 hour 45 minutes.
Should be heaps of time.
Also according to FlightRadar24, QF881 is invariably late, sometimes very late.
I can't find any data for QF1588, are you sure the flight number is correct?

Yep QF1588 Op by Qantaslink is being sold on QFs website. Flight's in October so it might only run on a specific schedule. Is the alternative flight maybe QF860/QF1564? Bit sceptical on my end as well since there's no previous data to analyse.
