Even if I had access to a work Twitter account (WHICH I don't), I would not do something that would besmirch "my" (proverbially speaking-my) employer.

I had a quick read through some of the comments on VA's facebook page and it seems that most people saw the lighter side. In fact, many commented that whoever posted this deserves a pay rise!

It was actually a media agency (Carat) that was responsible for making the post, they apologised earlier today:

You would be amazed how easy it is to do something from the wrong account when you have a couple linked together. All it takes is an inadvertant click, or for a timeline to refresh at the exact wrong time.
And when it happens, it's a horrible feeling.

Absolutely. Particularly using TweetDeck. I did it the other day! Lucky my personal Twitter account is pretty professional.

Reading the story on Mumbrella today got me thinking how strange the idea of having an agency run your social media is.

It was like finding out (or being reminded) that Santa isn't real.
