Need advice / guidance on a suitable Mediterranean destination for June / July this year good people. Anybody who has stayed at Hotel de Londres in San Sebastian would understand the perfect beach location - we are seeking similar type location - was thinking south of France but given $ to € rate that's not looking that attractive.

How does Valencia stack up? Anybody with experience at Las Arenas in Valencia?

We have done the Greek Isles couple of the times - not ruling them out but looking for other suggestions also please. TIA.

We are going to Croatia in May...maybe this is somewhere you could consider....I'll let others who have been outline the +s and -s!....+1 is returning, Dbv-Fra-Sin-Syd with KrisFlyer miles on Croatia Airlines / Singapore Airlines in J/F using KF miles ;)

Ok, I'll bite. Cyprus is an interesting destination with a lot of history, I spent an extended period there but didn't explore nearly enough. If you do venture that way, Nicosia is the only divided city in the world (after Berlin reunited) with interesting facets to both halves. An absolutely fascinating place is Varosha in Famagusta, a truly abandoned city but you cannot enter - google earth gives a great insight. For travel to Cyprus it's an easy flight EK flight from DXB which then continues on to Malta and returns LCA-DXB.

i absolutely loved visiting Malta, again it is steeped in history, easy to explore, a beautiful country, and on a plus side for some - everyone speaks English, all signs are in English and they drive on the left. I truly wish I had spent more time in Malta exploring (it helps that my wife is Maltese descent).
