Fresh from saving the financial fortunes of those in the eastern states one of our esteemed Moderators, Lindsay Wilson, is heading to Perth to attempt to sort out a few of the Sand Gropers. An impossible mission you may say BUT LW is in for the challenge :!:

Lindsay has expressed an interest in a Chinese Dinner so I have suggested a Dinner/Steam Boat at '

Date: Monday 15th March.

Expressions of interest of who might attend are invited.

Do'h! I'm coming back from Fiji that day, and not in time to catch the flight to PER to make it.

Moreover, my free Amex flight won't yield me BNE to PER.

:(

FWIW I have dined at said Chinese restaurant before and it isn't bad at all. But then again due to my ethnic background, when it comes to Chinese food, I am a tough customer to impress.

Put me down as tentative, I may be in Sydney that week. You guys are lucky to have your travel plans sorted so far in advance!

I actually fly in on Sunday 14th, but late ~9.10pm (see list here). straitman and I thought that Monday night might make it easier for us (initially) and then we thought to throw it open to all.

Wonder if v8Statesman is around?

Back from Burrill Lakes or a work trip? What time do you arrive back? if from SYD, then I could change my flights (BNE/CBR/PER)...I just wanted to add a new routing (CBR/PER) to my domestic flying.

Back from a work trip:
Sun 14 Mar 10 18:50 Newman 20:30 Perth QF1827
I could hang around and give you a lift, it's only another 5 minutes from where I live assuming you're staying at either the HI or Hilton?

This is actually quite unusual for me to be able to confirm clients a month in advance, but I trying to retain a good pipeline of work (never had such a busy start to the year). straitman & mrs straitman (the life of retirees) are coming over for an organised week of functions.

If I am delayed on my CBR/PER flight, then leave but if you want to wait around it would be great to catch up and save the $ on the cab fare. First shout is on me on Monday.

Staying at the Hilton, now that I have got my Macquarie Hilton CC.

I'll check my bag in coming back to PER then, that's a sure fire way to ensure I'll still be around

I'll have checked luggage as well

At least I can check out your photo's of karens, whilst we wait. Unless she's going to make an appearance :o

Flashware, flights are as per my previouus March 2010 post, staying at CP Perth on Sunday night and IC Burswood on Monday night.

Got a $200 deal with CP, includes internet access and breakfast. Scored Family & Friends rate at IC for $231
