Cynicor checked out the original restaurant and it was too small and packed:

Just an update- venue changed to Duende as pinchos is tiny and packed! We're outside, 4 people currently at a table for 5. Come say hi.

Thankfully, I know Duende as one of my clients works in Newcastle Street and we meet there for coffee/lunch - a perfect venue. No trouble finding Cynicor as he was waiting out the front ;)

Ah what a pity, completely forgot about this thread and just had dinner at home. Oh well. Enjoy, hopefully next time I can join the meetup!

Well, this is what we had....and some missed out on tonight:

Hmmm, image loading is playing up, let's try that again:

Prawn & Chorizo paella balls (I was almost too slow getting a photo, the hungry hoard descended on them as soon as they hit the table)

Duck liver parfait:

Slow braised beef cheek (the table favourite of the night):

There are some issues with images, I have noticed since yesterday. The bicycle image is one of bass_ke's photos I believe from the Off Topic thread - I will be bringing up the issue with admin. I am getting different views of images whether using laptop or iPhone and have changed back from image setting to attachments - hopefully this may fix the problem. If I post on iPhone yet change via laptop, the image changes...so strange things afoot.

Finally, we did get a picture of the Moderator flanked by two attendees, Bundy Bear and JohnM - photo thanks to Cynicor:

Taking the bike to the western suburbs is not a good plan. Motorists in Perth are pretty erratic so it is better to have a tonne or two of metal between you and them.
Seeing a photo of my Year 3 classmate from last night was really good JohnM. The 1950s were the good old days.
Wednesday was one of my two workdays so the chauffeur driving and Post Office ATO concepts were on back order last night.

Last nights discussions centered around Cynicor and JohnM's trips, nesting tickets and far flung places (Africa) etc. Living vicariously through members who are doing much more exciting travel than my domestic trips...

It was another good night, where were the food photos, from the 2nd night.

Surprising I see QF WP more now that I am in Western Australia than I would when we lived in the same city.

It was a great trip - nice to meet Cynicor for the first time and catch up with regulars.

Now off home - the JASA way ;)

That's really weird. Can I ask people to advise what photo they see (that shouldn't be there) in the respective posts? So then we can work out whether it's a problem with using either the IMG or attachment options.

For example, in post #s 83 & 84, although I posted and was seeing the correct photo, now I am seeing 2 QF stick pins - and I've never seen that photo before (certainly have never taken that photo).
