Meet A Moderator, Perth, 27th or 28th April

Lindsay missed the photo by taking it on his phone. Even though you cannot see him he was the only one dressed in a suit and tie. Perth turned on a bit of rain so Lindsay could adjust more easily to leaving Brisbane for a couple of days.
I always think about what you don't know what you don't know so getting together can help you pick up one or two ideas.
You get to meet folks from all different walks of life so it was a really good Moderator meeting last night.

Except my comments re the Parking Inspector. $60 ticket waiting for me for 30 min over. Ouch!!!

Glad I spent the extra $4 topping mine up then!

Maybe your post is an example of where we need the dislike button.

I just hope my ticket did not wash off the windscreen.
That is bad luck to get pinged on a rainy night in Perth.

 Apologies for not finishing naming of the participants in the photo, I feel asleep whilst doing it (and woke up at 4.21am - my internal body clock waking me at 6.30am BNE time :( )

Thankfully feel back asleep and woke up at 8am (a more respectable time).

Was great to put faces to names and as cove said, amaze at the knowledge base about flying that is out there in our community. Wonder what happened to v8Statesman :?:

Was a great bar (would be better views during the day), albeit the weather wasn't kind. 11sjw, sorry to hear that you got fined.

Good to hear you got a sleep in, Lindsay! :p
Thanks for making the time to meet us.
Agreed, it was really great to meet everyone (and see the Clark Kents behind the Supermen) and also some very interesting discussion, too.

After my first meeting this morning, looks like I will be back on 16th & 17th May.

Looks like I may fly over on Sun 15th, so it may be a Sunday evening session there; as the clients I saw tonight want me to come to dinner, thus likely to be Monday night.

Will know more next week.

Regards,

Lindsay

I could probably arrange a stay for you at the Hyatt at $167 a night or Club at $227 but I noted your lack of affection for the free bus to go up town.
I spoke to Hyatt and as a moderator you might be able to negotiate a killer deal for 25,000 members over a cup of coffee down the east end of town.
The Hyatt is one of the best hotels in Perth so it could be worth a try.
Now that bus thingy............

BOGO No cert required might be one of the PP specials for May, if it is that means the IC for $355 for two nights in total ;).

IC at Burswood only allow one card where Hyatt allow 2 for 4 dining so 4 people at the smorgasbord is $29 each for a great spread. When it busy at Burswood they do 2 eating sessions so that is hopeless. The food is good but why go out to dinner and rush unless you have show tickets?

I was suggesting the IC for reason Lindsay would be aware about and not related to the dining options.

Well, time to leave PER, on my way to the airport in beautiful sunshine, unlike my arrival.

Sounds like we need a new title for this thread of "Meet a Moderator Perth 15 May" so people don't think they've missed the boat.

Yes, it isn't lost on me Mark ;-)

Sounds fascinating.....I think.
