It is a place I go to earn frequent flyer points JohnM. Sometimes I even get to talk to customers , suppliers and staff. It is a part time thing now that I am 68.

B-b-but I'm older than you Cove - by 2 months and 2 days :eek::p:D.

I don’t think it can really be explained to someone who has never done it - you wouldn’t believe it

Now, now Steady! :eek:. After 24 weeks travelling in 2017 and plenty of PERfect beaches in PERadise, how can a old fella be expected to let work get in the way of that? ;):cool::D.

I do still work - a bit, sometimes to meet a few financial and lifestyle/wellbeing objectives but not in the slightest interfere with travel ;):cool::).

Priorities, mate, priorities :D.

So now you do know what work is :rolleyes:

As Gary.Wang has been permanently banned from AFF, he's no longer welcome at my MaM dinner. Attendee list updated

I am so sorry I can't make it tomorrow night. I have to ration myself from meeting moderators for the time being as I don't have a strong enough constitution. I am still recovering from meeting moderators straitman and Jessica Tam last month. Plus Pushka, Major, Anna. love_the_life and Bundy Bear. There is only so much excitement with which one can cope.
I hope you all have an enjoyable evening.

It's an unfortunate and disappointing thing, but from time to time, people cross the line. I didn't know about it until another of the Mod team alerted me to the banning.That being the case, it places me in an untenable position and thought this to be the best course of action. I'm not in a position to discuss the reasons, I'm sure you understand. Whereas previously, the posts from a banned person are then from "Guest" and is showed them suspended, the new version of AFF only shows a strikethrough in their name, so it's not as obvious.

Not to detract from the dinner, suspended members now correctly have both a strikethrough of their username (new in Xenforo) and their user title amended to "Suspended" (existing behaviour from vBulletin) for the duration of their suspension.

If a user requests their account to be deleted altogether – and we agree that doing so would not harm the community – then their user title changes to "Guest" on all their posts, but their posts remain. If we were to remove posts with a user deletion, threads may lose a lot of context, hence why this is a rare occurrence reserved for extreme cases.

Okay, booking for 6 made under my real name @ 7.30pm outside - it's a mild night with a hint of breeze (thankfully not as bad as yesterday). I should be there earlier, once I find Elizabeth Wharf to get the ferry across.

I’m here thinking it was 6.30. It’s beautiful now. The sun will be set by 7.30. Dang - I can’t fill the time drinking...
