Great idea but think I may pass. I have given away most of the items listed so no need to collect more.

PJs I can understanding travelers wanting as more airlines cut back. Why not consider giving the amenity kits to charity.

Otherwise a nice offer.

. . . PJs I can understanding travelers wanting as more airlines cut back. Why not consider giving the amenity kits to charity . . .

. . . I give a significant amount of travel stuff to a homeless shelter. Every time I go to a hotel I clean out the complimentary soaps, toothbrushes and combs and they go to the shelter. In my recent four week international trip I filled up a shoebox.

My intention in offering up these kits and pyjamas on AFF is because I acknowledge that no everyone gets a chance to fly beyond Y and even less further up than J. AFF members are lovers of flying and I'd like to share some of my good fortune with them.

Now that I've commented on my reasons (and, again, I welcome your opinion) I think it would be beneficial if the discussion on who and how to giveaway these sorts of things should be left to one of the existing threads.

And here's my latest donation of hotel and airline toiletries to two local charities:

So you ask for a picture of an item?
We send you a picture of that item and then pick from the list what we want?

Essentially, yes.

Check out one of anat0l's scavenger hunts that I referenced in my first post to get an idea of how it works.

For example, one hunt item might be a boarding pass for a flight with three identical numbers. If you have one, you take a photo of it, omit any personal information and post it. At the same time, you post which of the 65 items you'd like (remembering there are two tiers) If I confirm your photo you get the item.

There are about 100 hunt items so that should give people a lot of opportunity.

What's the two tiers mean please?

. . . The 65 giveaway items are in two tiers: tier two comprises 22 pairs of pyjamas; tier one is everything else (almost entirely F and J amenity kits). Similarly, the hunt items that can be found (around 100) fall into two tiers. If you find something in tier two, you may choose a single giveaway item from either tier one or tier two. If you find a hunt item in tier one, you may choose a giveaway item in tier one only. The majority of hunt items are in tier two giving members more chances and more choice . .

Looking great Danger! I might just be tempted to participate in this myself! :)

This should be interesting, anat0ls hunt from a few years ago was a fun read, didn’t realise it was so long ago.

He did 3 of them I think, but they were all within about a 2 year period.

The hunt is on!

Hunt items have been posted to the Wiki and I'm sure will be approved by a moderator very shortly.

Approved and started!

Well. This may not be approved. I do trip reports. And post anything to do with the trip. So likely it’s been posted on AFF before but here goes.
This is 99. Non Aussie serviette featuring logo.
