I want to be there, but am ideally meant to be moving house around that date.

I did have some flights I could book, but may have to sit this one out :(

MEL Champagne Appreciation Night

I'd love to be there, alas a school night 1K away may prove to be too difficult. If I don't make it I will open the bottle of Krug that I would have brought and drown my sorrows

Probably best not to open it around Cruiser ;) :p :)
I've seen the by-line :D
It's now just a question of what to do with all those bottles of Krug we have lying around...

So I guess it’s time that we should start to build a list of intending attendees. As I hold ZERO status with any airline I really dislike that elitist, pompous, social climbing concept of classifying people as Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze etc.

I think for the point of this exercise we will return to grass roots level and just list people in the normal, natural fashion that nature intended – that is those who are definitely attending, those that might attend, those that probably won’t attend and those that definitely cannot attend. So:

If you guys would be so good as to email me Champs you intend bringing along I will update.

Love your style Cruiser :)
When is this event? Can't see any dates using the mobile app.

:lol::lol: Cruiser, I'm so impressed with my Baggage Handler Avatar! So much so that if I managed to get to MEL before my overseas trip, I'll drop off a bottle of champers for your party!:lol:

Unacceptable - we don't want your champagne we want your company!
(Oh and my apologies I see that I cannot even spell your name!)

You'll have to make this a regular event (I'll volunteer to help with the next one if you do! :p)
It's very tempting but I have a family commitment overseas plus I can't give up on seat 1A on QF127 since QF will be flying their A380s then ;)

Funny you mention that - I was only thinking during the week that we might try to make it a twice yearly event - mid Feb / mid Aug - will see how smoothly the maiden voyage goes and plan forward from there.

Cruiser.. you make me laugh... lots!
Should we put a price range in to make it easier.. I'd love a Belle Epoque/ Krug taste off.. but maybe we should stick with the NVs for my first time (be gentle)??
Kind of a $35 (for BC Taittinger) to $75 (Moet Rose) type..
I know... I should have attended the working party :(
I'm happy to bring a few Bolly, Billie, Taitts, Veuve or Moet... whatevers in the cellar at the time and leave it to the creative people to do new and different things :)

Please all keep in mind this is no 'Mine is bigger than yours' type event - bring whatever you want to share - NV thrust prolly good idea - first to post their intention kinda claims that ground on that Label I would assume - if we can mix it up well and good - it promises to be a fun night. Just advise me your Label - you can just take a nice close up and email to me - and I will update attendee list.
