Oh no! Fingers crossed.

Good news and bad news... I managed to change my flight OOL-ADL-MEL so that I arrive at 5 pm instead of 6 pm tonight and can make it for the dinner and drinks. This morning I happened to check the flight status and found out my flights have been cancelled (the same aircraft was originally scheduled to operate MEL-ADL-OOL-ADL-MEL) well before I received any email/SMS notification from the airline. In the end I asked to be rebooked on BNE-ADL-MEL which arrives at 6 pm again (the 5 pm flight is cancelled).

To make things worse, the BNE-ADL flight has been delayed 1 hour due to late arrival of aircraft from ISA, but I'm hoping I can still make the connecting flight to MEL. I will text you if it gets in early.

Not a good way to end my trip or start the day!

I've rebooked yet again to an earlier BNE-MEL direct flight and will claim ORC (which I asked about at first but was given the wrong info until I called Velocity at the lounge). I hope my luggage makes it though since I had already checked in for the BNE-ADL-MEL flights.
