GTW47 brought it down to $9725 return and I had to fly on Saturdays which extends the intended trip from 5 days to 7 days..
QF currently can do J for $8336 return if I stay in the US for 10 days..[FONT=Calibri, sans-serif]

Yep there was a sale which ended on 13th August. (I use the Virgin Australia specials app and set alerts). A rule of thumb in J class is on sale around February and September/October.

I don't need to fly until November.. Maybe I should wait a couple of weeks and see if September has better pricing..
