Re: Pics of Virgin Australia's 'The Club' (SYD and BNE)

An ad in the Australian's Wish advertorial mag says Melbourne lounge will "feature Australia's first Premium Exit. With its own private security screening point... providing a quick and seamless path to their departure gate".

The only problem with this is that there are two security points after the MEL lounge.

Re: Pics of Virgin Australia's 'The Club' (SYD and BNE)

I assume this will mean an exit from the lounge to the airside part of VA's main pier - which will be quite nice and premium indeed.

Downside is that there will be no special exit for the secondary pier which still has no priority screening lane.......

Correct. I dropped into the lounge last week for a look, and that was exactly what was explained. The hoardings are still up, but work is progressing.

Re: Pics of Virgin Australia's 'The Club' (SYD and BNE)

There is a lounge floor plan (of sorts) on the wall near the bathrooms. From what I remember from a glance yesterday, there look to be two scanner machines in the lounge/premium security channel, in addition to the three existing machines being maintained.
