Oh no, I just realised where the Blue Train is and is too far for me to walk from HSW (without freezing the death anyway). :( Any suggestions besides taxi?

20 minute walk. And Wednesday is meant to be warm :)

Cross the river and catch the 35 (free) or 70 tram to Flinders St railway station; then cross the river again.

Too bad I changed my booking to HOTP...maybe I'll change it back...

If not, you could try Uber? That's how I'll be getting there. Use code egps1 for $20 off your first ride! (if you do I'll get a credit too)

Thanks :) Might try Jess' tram idea on the way there and uber back.

I am at HotP too. Either 75 tram or train across from the hotel one stop to Flinders St.

Edit: you will need a myki card.

Melbourne - warm in winter???! ...
Compared to the weather since Saturday afternoon, an interpretation of the forecast could be that it's to be "Less Cold".

Anyhoo - count me in for Wednesday evening ... :D

(I'll be there from 6pm)

I was actually pretty good, unlike some people in Sydney who overindulged...

Very true - I was not one of those however.

I did like the story of Tony Hancock attempting the berate the bartender for activating RSA restrictions right as his elbow slipped off the bar

What's this "RSA" you speak of? :p

I have had another function land in my calendar :(

I might join you for dessert / coffee, depending how late the other function goes.

Now staying at HSW after an offer from the Front Office Manager I couldn't refuse.

So if anyone wants to share an Uber...

So my early start on Thursday morning has been re-scheduled, negating my need to stay in a Hotel. How boozy do these dinners get on a school night?

If they're pretty tame, I'll probably cancel my stay at HSW and just head home.

Whaddya reckon?

It depends on your self restraint. some of us can just drink Diet Coke and others are shareholders of various alcohol companies who believe they have a responsibility to improve company profits and dividends. :)

Hmm, I do love a bit of peer pressure....

I am doing "Dry July", so won't be drinking... If I even show up...
