MEL to JNB

Guys QF63 leaves at 10:35 SYD but I cannot for the life of me find a connection that gets there in the morning.
All I am finding is arriving into SYD the night before.

Surely they could get me on a 7:00 or 6:30 departure. Would there be anyway they could book me an easier connection if I call them instead of booking online ?

The 0800 or 0730 typically connect.

Perhaps the dates / fare class you are looking have those flights sold out and it's not defaulting to the earlier flights.

Have you tried multi-city and do it that way or are you just searching mel-jnb?

I'm using the AA booking engine March 3rd departure in J MEL-JNB not as a multicity.
Coming back is and no problems with connection. March 4th departure seems to be ok so maybe it is just a case of the fare bucket selling out on the 3rd.

Must be a fare bucket issue.

The qantas.com site not allowing mel-jnb via syd that day, but if you multi-city it spits out the 0600 departure from mel.
