Couple points:
1. If you don’t drink alcohol you are not expected to bring alcohol
2. Absolutely no way I am ever being involved in a situation with 13 guests and bill split 13 ways so everyone can pay with a CC
3. If anyone else wants to take lead and use their CC to pay I am happy to pay cash to them (be aware the person in charge of paying bill always seems to have privilige of paying way more than their share)

See you all tomorrow night 👍

Will do. I don't drink though

I'm also a teetotaler and have always had a great time with the people attending.

Cash sounds a bit...not in the spirit of a cashless life generally characterised by AFFers
Basically the organsier gets the cash and pays the bill on a card that gets lots of points.
it's how these dinners have functioned since they began.

Fair enough, haha, I was thinking of using PayID or Beem It or sth like that to pay to the organiser, then realised that involves either sharing mobile/email address or adding to contacts, which is a bit burdensome especially for people who meet first time. I'm totally fine with preparing some cash:-)

Would love to join you all tomorrow night but a severe change of plans has me self-isolating till Monday. Was really looking forward to a seafood risotto but have been warned the risk is too high.

Pity we never caught up for a footy match, CE.

So if I am not wrong attendee list now reads:
  • Doug_Westcott
  • serfty
  • Hvr
  • whughes3
  • ric_melb
  • JessicaTam
  • tuapekastar
  • Cruiser Elite
  • penegal
  • LinaLee
  • hkdastur
  • Mr He
So that makes 12 - I will update Sonia now - still not too late if anybody else wants to joins us - just shout out 👍

Forgot to add me CE, or am I at the blacklisted table? 🙅‍♂️

Are you in MEL boomy? I deliberately left you off list due to your propensity of seeking extended payment schedule of $1 down $1 a week 👍

Good afternoon. I am deeply sorry but am feeling unwell this afternoon, and on refection feel unable to come to dinner tonight. I was really looking forward to meeting those of you I haven't seen for some years, as well as some newcomers.
I hope this doesn't inconvenience Cruiser Elite or the good people at Olive Tree.
Trust all enjoy this evening. Best regards.

Am now home after another great night with fine food and awesome company.

Welcome to the new people, lets hope you enjoyed your first AFF experience and come again soon.

Until Newcastle unless we catch up sooner.

Thanks to all who attended.

OMG how remiss of me - traditionally we would have a post AFL Grand Final dinner and get together of AFFers and anybody else who might like to join us at OT

BUT ALAS

Friday night I am in Santorini and with a quick transfer will be watching the GF at Corner Sports Bar in Legian Bali followed by traditional post GF steak dinner at Plantation Grill, Double Six Hotel in Seminyak, Bali.

But still time for youse AFFers to get your thumbs out of your bums and your minds out of neutral and organise something 👍
