Depends what you define as food..I just go down there to fill my drinks bottles with vodka... they do food?
Credit where credit's due, they do usually have a good barista on in there. Does coffee count as food?Anybody been to the dungeon recently. I have a strong fascination for the subpar offerings. Correct me if I’m wrong and they have done a full 180 and now serve edible food?
On the side, had the same thing happen to us in Singapore. Had dinner in the F lounge then wondered over to the QP for a look and a glass of awful red. The Gate Guard thought we were lost and offered us directions to the F lounge. The puzzled look he had when we knew where the F lounge was but wanted to come into the QP was great! My +1 really wanted to visit the business dungeon because, unlike the F Lounge, they have a juicer. The agent was a bit bemusedly disbelieving we wanted in. We popped in for a brief look - after spending the preceding hour in the F lounge.
When in Singapore, I often pop into the First lounge for a couple of glasses of champagne (pity it's not a great one), and a snack, then head over to the BA lounge, which I think has better food and drinks than the QF J lounge. On the side, had the same thing happen to us in Singapore. Honest question (from someone who tries to generally avoid the Qantas ecosystem): I know that the setting of the MEL international business lounge is inferior to other Qantas international business lounges. Can the same actually be said of the food & beverages as well?
I wouldn’t mind better food in the dungeon.No. The food and beverages are pretty much on par with SYD & BNE INTL J.
The main problem is lack of natural light, hence the term dungeon.
That does count. They do pretty well with the average Vittoria coffee beans. Neil Perry choice from the 1990’s.Credit where credit's due, they do usually have a good barista on in there. Does coffee count as food?

Would definitely agree with this. Much easier to sit and get work done in the slightly more subdued lighting of the QR lounge. Topper food, I just have a personal preference for QF F for dining in SIN. QR for the generous spirit pours at the bar every day of the week though. Was in the dungeon a couple of weeks ago. Plate of the day was toast, fried egg, spinach, mushrooms and sriracha mayo. It was fine and in isolation, decent.
The problem was that, upon arrival to SIN, I went to the QR lounge which as a business lounge is arguably better than the SIN QF F lounge, and came to realise that the dungeon was sorely lacking. Having experienced the J/F-only QR lounge, there’s clearly an argument to be made that status-based access could be diluting the experience…
Hopefully at some point if there’s an extension/renovation of the international terminal a better space can be found.No. The food and beverages are pretty much on par with SYD & BNE INTL J.

Agreed but the gap is too big, which would most likely be intentional..Cant make it too good, got to give you something to aim for (the F lounge).
