The MH lounge is quite nice, but it's only open for a few hours prior to MH flights. The best thing about the MH lounge is they have a chef on duty who will custom prepare a noodle soup for you.

Did not know this was offered. Is this signposted anywhere in the lounge?

I've only been there once in October last year, but if I recall correctly there is a small servery to the right of where the food is with a bloke behind the counter making soup. Remember though, the MH lounge is only open for a couple of hours before each MH flight so it's only open early afternoon and late at night on the current schedule.

I visited the lounge last month and did not notice any cook-to-order station, only the buffet set up.

You didn't miss much. It was basically instant noddles in a ceramic bowl with perhaps a few fresh condiments sprinkled on the top.

I'm assuming the the EK lounge closes after EK407 departs and any QF9 passengers get moved on?
