Hope everyone has a great lunch. Unfortunately, as I explained earlier to straitman, I am unable to attend as my club championships (golf) are on this weekend and next over 4 rounds, something I had overlooked when agreeing to help host today's yum cha. I'll try and catch up for "boomy" drinks tonight ;)

Enjoy yumcha, won’t be able to join but I’m in for drinks tonight, let me know the time.

Glad you enjoyed it Hvr. I chose the restaurant as it usually isn't as busy/noisy as some and you can have a conversation. Wish I could a been there. As it turns out I've had two pretty good rounds so far and won a NTP today. Just left the clubhouse after spending around 3 hours at the 19th hole. May not make it to drinks tonight.

Glad you had fun. Sorry I couldn't make it

Those that turned up had a great meal at a cheap price. Good company as usual was what really made the day so those that didn't turn up or went to alternate parties were the ones who missed out.

Some of us had longstanding plans (plus rugby tickets), and don't feel we missed out given we also enjoyed a lovely afternoon.

Sorry if you took that personally bc. It was a very generic statement and not aimed at any one person or specific group.
I actually had no knowledge of any other events that were occurring.

FWIW, I had an amazing weekend, just couldn't quite squeeze every social event into the calendar.

The events I attended on Saturday night led to one of my best nights out in a very long time.
