Well, Amex told me that I would keep the same number, for another replacement card (damaged). Guess what? They lied. :(

Edit: Hope that you do better

Amex never ever replaces a card with a new card that is a clone of the existing number.

The replaced card remains active until its expiry so I wouldn't be too crossed about a new number ;)

Direct debits carry through too in my experience. I dont think saved card offers do automatically but I've heard they could be added manually

I've never tried saved offers on the old card to the new card but manual registration for the new card works. If it's targetted, it's only applicable to the new number.

replacement due to damage lost or stolen triggers a new card number. Renew remains the same.
Neither would affect the existing offers saved to your account, nor did.

Happy t oreport my new card waiting for me last night - same number, different security codes front and back new expiry date
Hope this isnt a dumb question. Is that particularly helpful? I.e do billers still not need to update their records

Called to order a new metal card to replace my unexpired plastic card tonight and they advised that they have had a lot of feedback and can now issue the new cards with the same card number as the old one. So it seems that they've found a way...

If you ever need a little help for instruction
