Will be in Las Vegas in September 2015. Been researching where to stay, had xmas drinks with some people last night who suggested MGM Grand, however it was 2 years ago when they stayed here. Mixed reviews on trip advisor however if I was to stay here probably an executive suite. Anyone with any recent experience at this hotel or alternative suggestions.

Sign up to their email list, they send out deals.

I stay there as good location with other large casinos next door and plenty of check in counters. When I stayed last time 3 day deal was $55 per day. (watch the resort tax, it's like airline fuel charges)

Thanks for the tip, have done so, waiting for the spam attack :)

Wynn... all the way. I thought the MGM was very dated.

Here is our Tower Suite:

Doesn't look much in the photos, but it was fantastic. Wynn is great all round.

I agree the MGM is probably past its used by date. Other than staying at what I believe it the largest hotel in the world (by room number) I think there are far superior options.

I just stayed in a 1 bedroom top floor penthouse room at the MGM Signature.

Quick walk to the MGM and onto the monorail (we were there for a conference so the monorail was invaluable to us).

Can walk down the street on the side of the 2 towers and you come out at planet Hollywood corner.

Huge room, HUGE bathroom, very clean, staff nice. It's non smoking non gaming which is why we chose it as I travel with 2 young kids.

My partner and I are planning for a 2015 trip and so far I like hotel 32 at this stage. It is located on level 32 of the Monte Carlo Hotel 32 The loft will suit our needs perfectly but were tempted by the penthouse if we travel with a group of friends.

Las Vegas is one of those cities like Bangkok where everyone under the sun has a hotel suggestion, and they're all valid mind you :)

I have stayed at the MGM Grand and I wasn't a fan of the rooms or the location - you see, I don't like walking at all ;) - that said, the pool party is amazing - if that's your kind of thing, like it is mine ;)

The Bellagio:- stayed there, rooms way too old for my liking though. Nice pool area.
Planet Hollywood:- much younger in appeal, nicer modern rooms, lots of college students though, but the rooms have the best view of The Strip in my opinion. Why? Get a Premium Lakeview Room with the view of The Bellagio Fountains almost directly in front and with the Eiffel Tower adjacent, up close and personal, to your right.
Paris Las Vegas:- outdated rooms, small pool area, but tanning under the Eiffel Tower - a fun gimmicky thing to do;)

However I would suggest looking at the Vdara and that will be my likely abode for 10 nights next July. Near new property at Center Strip. Couldn't go wrong with that choice.

Actually, yes, I must agree with that. Not so much the pool party but the pool. Certainly one of the best I've ever had swam in. One evening I had the entire pool to myself. It's lazy river style and I just, well, lazed around the whole thing, which is circular with a little current. And I came home with two plastic Bud Light promotional buckets.

I've previously stayed at the Vdara and would happily stay there again. Convenient to everything yet it's not in a casino.

Just spent 10 days at VDARA in a 2 bedroom loft. After many trips to Vegas this has been the best so far. Non smoking non gaming with a short interconnecting walk to Aria i was impressed. Rooms large and clean and well priced with a kitchenette made it handy thats for sure.
