I have a trip to Tokyo in January in J on Malaysian and the week received word that the scheduled 777 is now an A380. I can't book F so I'm wondering what people think might happen. Could I pay for a first class seat or will they go to MH status pax? Maybe I should just call the service centre and ask...

You don't seem to be getting any replies, and I can't assist, so might suggest you call the service centre.

Lets us know. A good position to be in no doubt.

Called, they claim it's full. I did try a few days of bookings, though, and I wouldn't have thought they could be full all through.

Not sure how good the Aussie call centre is as I haven't flown MH enough. Will ask about paying for an upgrade when I check in.
