Just got a new job and will be required to go to HKG 2 times per month for the next 18 months. I will also need to visit KUL occasionally.

Just found that there is MH Business Promo fare HKG-KUL-MEL return for HK$13k. Tried to go through fare rules but couldn't find details on whether I will get points and QF SC.

Can someone help?

the fare code will be at the top of the fare rules - you need to take the first letter and then look up in the QFF terms and conditions to find the earn rate

it will likely be Z class I think which earns J status credits but bugger all QF points.

Thanks yohy. SC is what I am after so it is great for me.

The fare code is indeed Z and the SCs as BD suggests.
I supose the SCs are so low MEL-KUL because there is a QF/EK codeshare flight on that route.

Because anything AUS-SE Asia is defined as a competitive route - QF wants you to fly via SIN or HKG

Overall better earn on BA for that fare but their SC earn on KUL-HKG is slightly lower. Interesting anomaly there.

There was a reasonable chance the KUL-HKG (and return) sector will be an A380 (in the past, but not now?) .
