I don't think you can get those cheaper fares on a one-way basis.

Poor old MH.
Tried some test bookings at work, and the corporate browser does not work with their website (oh dear).
Then SYD-KUL for 560 return seemed very good, except I could not use multi trip to expand. Finally AirAsia has a multi-buy sale released to soak up pax.

Probably, I heard an ad on the radio today was $1939 MEL-LHR return lol they will certainly struggle given SQ/EK have deals to LHR for around 1750-ish

Looks like some bargains out of SIN- to Japan in J for S$1168 (under A$1100). There's a couple of China Eastern / Vietnam Airlines deals for S$1500-S$1600, cheapest direct is DL @ AU$2046 by the looks.

Business Promo is back now for most MH domestic flights. Luckily I waited to book til today and have saved equivalent of $700 AU across all the dom J flights I had to book.
