Hi all,
i am wonder to access klia lounge, is that necessary to hold business ticket and above or hold any gold and platinum status?
Knew from others website that some malaysia credit cards offer free access to the lounge even you are on economy ticket? Anyone have been in the lounge with economy ticket but australia credit card?

MH is a oneworld member, so QF Platinum or Gold status will get you in.

I doubt credit cards will get you into the MH lounge, maybe to some other lounges in KLIA but these are normally limited to cards issued in certain geographies.

Only OW sapphire or emerald when travelling in Economy or Business/First class ticket will get you in the MH lounge at KLIA. No credit cards will get you in to the lounge as far as I know. Malaysian-issued platinum cards (e.g. Citibank) will get you access to the Plaza Premium Lounge at KLIA.

Plaza premium lounge is part of the Priority Pass network which is available with some Platinum cards in Australia.

Note according to website Alcoholic drinks are subject to payment.

Thanks, JohnK. I completely forgot about that.

Yes there a few Malaysian credit cards that will get you access to the MH Enrich lounge such as the MAS American Express Platinum Business Card which gives you automatic Enrich Gold status and hence access to MH Lounges. Some credit cards each year give you passes for the MH lounge e.g. CIMB Enrich WORLD MasterCard gives out two MH lounge passes each year.

It would be difficult for someone based in Australia to get these credit cards. There are some Australian based cards that give you Qantas club lounge access vouchers but these would be of no use in that situation.

You can also get lounge access by buying lounge access vouchers with MH Enrich points. It use to be 5000 points, not sure if this is still the current price.

Also if you have MH Enrich Silver status you can sign up for Golden Lounge Privilege Programme which will give you access to MH lounges when travelling on MH.

hi all,
thanks so much for all the info, it helps. i shall look into and see whether can get one or not. anyone know if sup card can also enter the lounge without primary card?

The only card that you can apply for in AU that I can see giving you access to the MH Golden Lounge in KUL is the Amex Platinum Charge (and Centurion). CX gold seems to still come with the card, if you apply.

thanks cynicor. ya, i browsed through amex cc and found yes that is the only card in aust that giving you access.;-)

Just in case anyone is interested in accessing MH Golden Lounges in KUL and does not have access you can pay to enter.

- Sattelite building
-- MH Enrich member RM150 and non-member RM200
- Main building regional lounge
-- MH Enrich member RM120 and non-member RM170

Does not appear to specify a time limit. Seems a better option than the Plaza Premium lounge as I am guessing alcohol is included.
