MH starting to look at replacement for A330s

I just noticed that earlier this month AeroRoutes reported that MH removed all 339s from routes.

My MH148 on 20/1 just got changed back to the 339.

Assuming that it isn’t MH being overly optimistic again, that means that the first route will still be Melbourne, and the inaugural should happen soon.

How is it to sit in, though?
I’m planning to write something in more detail + pics when I have some time, but briefly:

  • Great padding and support without being too solid
  • Excellent tray table
  • Tech is good, but the usb outlet is in a storage cubby, which isn’t accessible if it’s closed.
  • Too narrow and almost too short for me in bed mode
  • Virtually 0 storage

In summary it’s an excellent chair - I don’t think anyone will have complaints here. In bed mode it’s one of the more comfortable surfaces, but depending on your personal dimensions it may be a bit too small.

For me though? This beats QF on a day flight, and the reverse on a night flight.

Thanks - yes, was thinking it looked a tad tight. My rugby forward frame may struggle!
