Ah but back in the real old good ole days I was able to sit in the Flight Engineers seat on take off from SYD.

Ah but back in the real old good ole days I was able to sit in the Flight Engineers seat on take off from SYD.

I did manage several coughpit take-off experiences. Used to be quite easy on the QF25 744 service BNE-AKL since there were only two tech crew onboard for the short flight. I probably managed to sit up from for at least 5 or 6 take-offs on that leg. Also managed a few 767 flights (our of BNE and PER). Scored quite a few landings, but the one described above was the only one on a flight with 4 tech crew. I did manage one on a BA 777 into LHR. All the rest were with QF.
