i was told that if you have the minium credit limits $2500 for gold and $8000 for platinum that you can combine all your card limits to do a card transfer. they have some promo on where they waive the first year annual fee on new applications and migrations still until the end of march i think?. i wonder can you combine your credit limit with your wifes awards card limit to qualify for the platinum card? i dont think you can since accounts need to be in the same name. however i read in the awards book that you can transfer awards points between family members accounts once a year but the minimum transfer is 5k. what about downgrading to a low fee card from a platinum of gold awards card is it possible? also are you allowed to top up your cba credit card with $1000 and go to a cba atm and do a $1000 cash advance withdrawal? will there be any fees? if not its a great way to avoid the annual fees on the low fee cards.
