Its a shame you can't use HH or PC points for a club room award redemption.

Yeh it is a shame, at BKK Millenium Hilton it's certainly worth having exec lounge access. I've also stayed at the Hilton KL, and the exec lounge there is probably the best I've come across (in terms of layout and food offering), even better than BKK (due to this and the best pool I've seen at a city hotel, I'd say Hilton KL is up there with the best Hilton's I've stayed at - to keep this on topic - nudging out the Millenium Hilton).

There is also a day trip I would highly recommend, that might educate your kids if they are of suitable age. Take a trip up to Kanchanaburi (Bridge over the river Kwai), there is a huge memorial garden for Australian diggers that we found quite moving, war museums and the bridge itself. Well worth it IMHO.

Thanks for all your suggestions. The kids won't be coming along on this trip , but it does sounds like an interesting place to visit.
