Hi All,

What do you think the minimum time I should allow between getting off a QF flight in MEL and getting on a DJ out of MEL.

I will be doing carry on only, will checkin on line.

I either have the option of getting into Mel at

0745 or
1110

for a connection to a DJ flight leaving at 1210.

30 min, including DJ security check.

You issue is more if the inbound flight is late. technically DJ wont have to do you any favours if your inbound QF flight is late.

I'd personally go for the earlier option and hang out in the lounge (and ask politely if there's a possibility of a move to an earlier flight once you get there).

Where is the outbound flight going to? How critical will it be if you miss it?

QF is from Tasmania (likely to be DPO), DJ is to PER, but via ADL to make use of the PE at half the price of J out of MEL.

So yes, if delayed by QF, neither have any responsibility, and a long WHY trip back to Perth on a later flight, or a near 5 hour wait in MEL.

Other option is to fly out of Tasmania the night before and stay in MEL overnight. flights are cheaper to cover the difference in accomodation costs
