Missing city pairs on VA website when booking awards

This is especially true when trying to book international awards on the VA website.

For example if one wanted to redeem points to fly SQ HKG-SIN-CCU, if you select HKG as your origin the drop down menu / search does not offer CCU as an option.

Or if thinking of flights on United, it lets you search for flights to SFO, YVR, EWR, but not on the service to LAX.

Is it possible to book these flights on the phone, which annoyingly also doesn't seem to open 24/7?

Clever. Haven't searched for VA awards for a long time but will keep this in mind.

This is a good workaround.

In some instances you can also do a search for a different city pair, then more options become available if you try to edit the search.

Been playing around with this but get a payment error at the final page when trying to book.

Will the VA call centre book these or am I likely to get an agent in MNL who says it's "unavailable"?
