Missing Credit Madness [Qantas refusing Credit for Travel on Partner/oneworld Airlines]

only discovered AFTER getting home the reason why one lot of IB dog leg flights didn't get credited was because my FF number, despite being in the booking, never made it to the boarding pass, alas it was a J tic so I wasn't that concerned at the time, but the operator in Rome didn't check and I didn't think to ask - seems there was a two part process to ensure you got the # on the BP and the # entered "somewhere else" to ensure points and status credits got sent to QF - (I don't need the credits and the points might be on the LOW side but hey, worth finding out how the system works

Damn! It seems like the whole thing is becoming more of a lottery than ever when travelling on partner airlines!

Does your QFF# have a leading zero (or several) ie 6 or less actual numbers eg 0xx_xx_? If so, it’s important to enter that leading zero in all partner systems.

The QF system copes if you drop the zero(s) but others may not recognise it properly even though it may have accepted the truncated number.

No it doesn’t
And
I had this issue each time I booked direct with IB

Not the most user friendly website / app but so far I’ve not had an issue with flights crediting.

I was concerned that my most recent flight on IB (a QR J codeshare a couple of weeks ago) would get lost in the system just before the end of my QFF member year but it credited within a week. A couple of domestic hops last year also credited within a week.

If it’s not the FF number, perhaps somehow a name mismatch?

Although, I’m looking at three electronic BPs on my phone. All show my QFF# and OW status (shown as “QF123456 - EMERALD” as well as “GRUPO 1” (más importante!) but 2 have middle name and one doesn’t. No issue with any of them. Also, no leading zero displayed even though it was entered.
