MU - MEL-PVG - just for wilco

Well I would never debate this with someone smarter than me - so what $$$'s are you prepared to accept as a consultancy fee to make this happen?

None - I contribute knowledge here for free! And I would be hesitant to use the word smarter! I put together a rough calculator based on todays pricing for 10 trips that does not include the cost to get to "china", after 10 trips you would have paid AUD$22135 in total, have 3120 SCs and 48000 QFF points, but no P1 since SCs need to be earned mostly on QF and there are only 8 segments on QF (or two returns MEL-PVG) included in the 10! Every segment is in J.

Interesting indeed - possibly will look into it but out of 10 trips to China annually mostly are J saver redemptions with SQ.

MU is cheap - gives direct flt to PVG - yes I need to catch second flt to PEK - but given I will only use them 2, 3 or 4 times yr at most then they still suit.

OK my statement that if I was paid pax ea flt then maybe CX alternative would be better - but no experience with OW so I am kind blinkered there.

MU also had rediculously appealing ff program and benefits when I first used them so I joined EM - already have sufficient pts to redeem a J seat when they throw up next special which I expect soon.
