Hi.
I have a return flight booked to Amsterdam in nov-jan 16-17 with Qantas.
The flights are:
Bris-Syd (Qantas)
Syd-lon (Qantas)
Lon- ams (british airways)
Return flight: same in reverse

When I made the booking I booked in premium economy. The flight out was on a sale fare and the return trip was on a saver fare.
However since then I have seen that the sale business seats for the return flight are almost the same price as the saver premium economy.
Does anyone know if I call qantas and ask to change my return flight to business (and pay the small price difference) whether or not they will let me fly out of Australia in premium economy and return in business on the same booking no. ?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew

Brattish Airways? That's a good name for them ;)

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. QF will charge you whatever applicable change fee that your purchased fare has in its rules, plus the fare difference between what you paid and the new fare. Often the change fees are $500 or more on these sale fares, but check your ticket for the T&C's.

If you booked via Qantas directly, you'll also have to pay the assisted telephone booking fee I believe.

I have already determined the change fee for mine is $200 and the difference in fares would be $500. So $700 in total. Just not sure if they will actually let me change only half the flight to a different class.
I would happily pay the extra to get half the trip in business.

Ring and ask them, if you have a spare 2 hours to wait on hold

QF fares only allow the following combinations:

Economy + premium economy
Business + first

No other class of service combinations are permitted.
