I hope you’ve enjoyed my first go at writing a trip report. I’ve enjoyed the travel, and the writing actually, now that I’ve worked out the best workflow for me.
Not sure if I’ll do another for my next trip, in 10 days; to Miami and NYC flying QF J / AA J/F — maybe if my F upgrade MEL-LAX comes through I might write one!

Well, my vote would be for "yes, you should write another trip report". Enjoyed this one and would enjoy reading about your trip to USA to compare to mine. However, as I'm still unfinished with my trip report from last September, I'm hardly one to be telling you what you should do... I'm just finding it difficult to get the time to complete mine... life just gets so busy.

Great trip report.... TR are what i enjoy most about AFF gives me ideas on where to go or how to travel

I can happily point you to exactly this restaurant in Tokyo as well, it's in the "Sports District" which we went to for some ski shopping.
They serve many different variants of gyoza, and I will ritualistically head back to this very restaurant next time I'm in Tokyo!

We went to a Japanese restaurant for his 11th birthday last night, he ordered gyoza. I showed him this post this morning and was given a huge thumbs up. Restaurant details? Yes, please.

Cool report thanks for writing. Love reading about status running reports for some reason ;)

Great trip report - nice to see lots of photos of the new QF Business Suite, they're looking very good. Hope to try them in the near future.

Most of the cabin looks like they feel about the same as me so I join them, and doze a bit in the angle flat (look like Recaro?) seats.

MH A330s have Recaro J seats. 777's have the B/E Minipod seats, they're actually the same seat as the QF Mk1 Skybed. QFs are just very heavily customised. There are a couple of hints though - you may have noticed the tray table mechanism being the same?

Well done.A very enjoyable TR.Do keep it up-very useful when you want to look back on a trip too.

Sorry for the >1 month delay in reply, I have details now.

The restaurant is in the Jimbocho/Kanda area (lots of sports shops which change with the seasons, if you're interested in that. When I was there it was all about ski gear.

The general location (near Jimbocho Metro station):

The restaurant is in the block in the rectangle. Zoomed in:

Now - I don't remember *exactly* what the outside of it looked like, It had a step up off the street and it had dark wood around the entrance. I'm pretty sure it was just behind the vertical white sign where the arrow is pointed.

I should have taken a photo of the outside of the restaurant so I didn't forget, as it was really awesome. The shop had the cashier table just to the left of the entry with a stairway behind it (toilet halfway up stairs), kitchen and dining area on the lower floor (not sure what was upstairs), with rows of benches on the right, and the kitchen on the left.

Hope this helps, hope you find it !!
