Great TR, @travelnutjohn ! My first SQ Suites experience was on that exact same SQ218 flight, and my wife and I had much the same experience as you.
Once you go Suites, it's very hard to go back to regular Economy flying!

Yup, nice one!
We did SQ218 on Monday, loved it. Squeezed in a good 4 hours sleep (ate then slept), hit the ground refreshed & running in Singapore and then backed it up with SQ306 to London Tuesday morning, rinse repeat! TPR before & after a day in Singapore made the experience v easy.

I didn’t feel flying suites overnight was wasteful cause it was sooo comfortable and had a great sleep. Also, departing Singapore at 1am there was a full meal service, entree was caviar which surprised me (caviar & sashimi salad, not the full on caviar production). Only disappointment was not having the satay skewers on either flight, luckily I had that for lunch!

Ps I feel like I’m spoilt for business now let alone economy!!

After reading a million articles and posts about what premium flying is about , and now actually experiencing it first hand, I would say the most important things in my personal opinion and order are :

1. Lying Flat/Angled
2. Lounge Access

So if I was paying cash, wasnt Bill Gates rich and trying to do a poor mans first class experience , in theory, I could pay for Premium economy and lounge access, and I could save myself thousands

regardless, im hooked on J and F for anything more than 7hrs+ flight!

Kind manager, as he saw my glass almost empty offered to bring me over the Krug 09, my first krug, more richer on the nose and palate compared to dom, definitely my preference over dom
manager also offered to take a photo of the krug as well as me (must have been because there was about 4 staff and 3 customers at this point),
got my teddies, evian, hot towel at this point,
ive virtually pressed every button and closed every door/window by this point
Thanks for the report. I’m going on my first ever Singapore Airlines flight late August and it will be in F as well so happy to read up on it via your report.

Now my big question is did they just give you the Teddy bears or do you ask? They look great and I have a niece who would love to get one as a gift.

When my wife and I flew on SQ218 in Suites in January this year, the crew gave us 2 teddy bears without us asking (they had placed it on the beds that they had made up while we were changing into our PJs). I'm assuming this is what is meant to occur, however YMMV depending on the particular crew operating the cabin on your flight.
In saying that, there'd be no harm in politely requesting a bear or 2, especially considering the reason for the request.
Good luck, and enjoy the flight!
